The Czech Republic will be looking for a BeerMaster for the second time. The winner will be able to run a restaurant with a microbrewery

Viewers will be able to watch the non-traditional beer reality show from 4.10. 2023 in the premiere every Wednesday at 22:15 on Nova Action TV station, in advance on VOYO, then on the website of the project BeerMaster.cz from the Fameplay.TV group and with time lag also on all social networks and freely available video platforms.

“BeerMaster is no longer just a reality show about brewing and the craft beer scene, it’s a challenging talent competition based on demonstrating the skills necessary to run a pub or an entire microbrewery,” he says Luboš Kastnerjudge of the BeerMaster show.

This year, the creators of the show directly selected twenty of the most interesting contestants from hundreds of entries, who competed in a beer sensory test in the first episode, from which only twelve of the best advanced to the next round.

“In this year’s series, the contestants will compete in a more challenging, complex and for the viewer more attractive studio reality show, which will test the candidates in many disciplines from the fields of brewing, gastronomy, taproom and service,” claims the show’s creative producer and director Roman Buta.

In the next episodes, the ever-decreasing number of candidates for the title of BeerMaster struggle not only with assigned tasks, such as preparing a menu, presenting beer pairings, working behind a master taproom and a stress gastro test or organizing beer festivals, but also with emotions and traps prepared by the jury and competitors.

The BeerMaster reality show was created in 2022 as an edutainment project to support the spread of awareness about craft brewing and modern beer styles in the Czech Republic, which have been on the rise in recent years and are very popular with regular consumers, beer lovers and gastro connoisseurs.

“Beer is a noble drink, and we at Budvar are trying to attract as many people as possible to it, to arouse a real interest in them. Because the beer world is no longer boring and definitely has a lot to offer. And this is also shown by BeerMaster. We want Czechs to learn something about beer, to become interested in it and to stay with it.” says Aleš Dvořák, judge of the BeerMaster show and flying brewer of Budějovice Budvar, the show’s main partner. Just like last year, the two best competitors who will brew their own craft beer will advance to the final itself.

In this year’s BeerMaster show, the winner not only has the task of preparing a concept for a restaurant with a microbrewery, but also to create and present a design and strategy for their own brewery brand. In addition, they will have to prepare a menu, either beer or dining.

The winner will not only receive the title of BeerMaster 2023, but also a number of prizes, including the chance to introduce their own beer to the market of the Czech craft scene.
