On the eve of St. Martin’s Day, the Christmas tree was lit up in the Central department store in Most, along with other Advent decorations in the shopping center. The event was part of a celebration attended by hundreds of people. There was, for example, the gluing of Linnaeus sweets, face painting, tastings of welder and non-alcoholic punch, a dance performance and a concert.

Central installed a total of over 100,000 Christmas lights. “This year, we have improved the Christmas decoration again and we hope that the visitors will enjoy it properly,” said Martin Malý, director of marketing and communication of EPG, which owns Central.
Main Christmas program provided by the city, will only start in Most in December, when there will be Christmas markets on the 1st square between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. every day, which will be complemented by cultural events and an open ice rink in the neighboring town hall park. On Sunday, December 3, a large Christmas tree will be lit in front of the town hall at 5 p.m., and there will be a concert before that. On Tuesday, December 5, the Mikulášská tram will run. The parade of Krampusak devils will take place on the 1st square on Sunday, December 10 at 5 p.m.
