Prague – Mladé Boleslav footballers beat Pardubice 1:0 at home in the 15th league round and jumped to third place in the incomplete standings. By the same ratio, Bohemians 1905 defeated the newcomer from Karviná at home. České Budějovice also lost to Teplice 0:1 at home and fell to last place in the table thanks to Zlín’s 1:1 draw with Jablonec. The battle between Hradec Králové and Liberec also ended the same way.
The match between Mladá Boleslav and Pardubice was decided in the 47th minute by the fresh Czech representative Vasil Kušej with his sixth goal of the league season. The Central Bohemians won for the third time out of the last four matches in the top flight. The East Bohemians did not follow up on the previous two league wins at the Mladá Boleslav stadium, and after their second defeat in a row, they fell to 14th place.
Bohemians’ triumph over Karvina was scored by Slovakian striker Erik Prekop in the 52nd minute. With their third home win in the league season, Prague moved up to eighth place in the table, the competition’s newcomer is thirteenth.
The “kangaroos” succeeded in the league after two previous defeats, and last week they also lost to Sparta in the round of 16 of the cup. At home, they did not lose to today’s opponent even in the eighth match against each other in the top competition. The Slezans did not score on the Bohemians field for the sixth time in a row and did not follow up on the surprising 1-0 victory from the duel in Pilsen, where they got the only away points of the season two weeks ago.
Tadeáš Vachoušek scored the only goal of the match between České Budějovice and Teplice in the sixth minute. The South Bohemians lost for the fourth time in a row in the highest competition and dropped to the last place. Teplice, on the other hand, won for the second time in a row 1:0 and jumped to the ninth position.
Antonín Fantiš put Zlín in the lead against Jablonec in the 19th minute, Jakub Martinec equalized for the visitors shortly after the change of sides. Both teams scored in the highest competition for the third time in a row. Even in the fourth competitive match under coach Bronislav Červenka, the “Shoemakers” did not find a winner and fell out of the bottom row, the North Bohemians are the “kings” of the league with seven tied results and jumped to 12th place in the incomplete table. Zlín did not beat North Bohemia in the top competition in the 21st game in a row, the last time they succeeded was in April 2008.
In the match between Hradec Králové and Liberec, Christian Frýdek responded to the home team’s Daniel Vašulín’s leading goal in the first half. Two goals of the East Bohemians after the change of sides were disallowed due to offside. Hradec has not lost in the top competition for the third time in a row and is in 11th place in the incomplete table. The 10th Slovan extended their unbeaten run to four rounds, but have yet to win away from home in seven games this league season. However, the North Bohemians did not lose for the eighth time in a row on the ground of “Votroks”.
The remaining three matches of the 15th round will be played on Sunday, in which all three cup representatives will be in action. Defending champion and leader Sparta will present themselves on the field of Ostrava, Slavia in Olomouc and Pilsen will challenge Slovácko at home. This is followed by a representative break, the highest competition will start again on the weekend of November 25 and 26.
