As has been the custom in recent years, the last round of autumn in Division E included, among other things, the Olomouc derby between the teams of Nový Sadů and HFK Holicky. And just like last time in the very last round of the season, this match also ended in a 1:1 draw. Although Holice went to ten early and even before the break the players took the lead, but in the second half the guests managed to equalize with a goal after more than a month.

“Unfortunately, we are not in game form and it is probably good that the break is already starting. We were scoring points, but not with any quality. Rather, we always fought it out. And today it showed in full light,” said a slightly upset Novi Sad coach Rostislav Sobek after the match.
The first half already brought a number of interesting chances. Already in the eighth minute, he saw a red card after stopping Ambrož in a clear chance with a foul, visiting Skočovský and the yellow-black team started a power play. In the thirteenth minute, the score could change gradually on both sides. First, the home German hit the post, and the same player subsequently slipped and gave the visitors a chance, which was finally stopped by goalkeeper Kofroň with a great save.
The two teams then traded after several chances and hints, but the Saders took the lead. Four minutes before the break, the referee blew the whistle for a foul on Machálek in the penalty area, which was coolly converted by Filip Ždánský.
After only eleven minutes of the second half, the visitors got what they had been waiting for since October 1. And it was a scored goal. After an incomprehensible separation from the Novi Sad wall, Vojtěch Novotný came through from a free kick. After that, fierce football continued from both sides, and it was not at all possible to tell from the guests that there should be fewer of them on the pitch.
I was drawn to Olomouc by my studies, I am really looking forward to the derby, says Martin Skočovský
“The opponent was kicking a lot of set pieces and we didn’t create a single clever center going forward that could find an addressee. And when we did get into some promising escape, it was usually offside. We showed a huge lack of quality and the opponent definitely deserved the point. We have 22 points, so we have achieved some goal. But quality didn’t play a big role in that,” added Rostislav Sobek.
In the end, the players from Holica won their eighteenth point and remained in tenth place after the fall. Novi Sad are sixth with 22 points, but Holešov will be able to overtake them tomorrow, who will play on the field of third-placed Kozlovice.
“We entered the match well. We created both chances and obstacles. Then the red card came, but we continued our performance. But we had to run more and I was happy that the boys didn’t lack fitness. In the coming months, we can be encouraged both by the finally scored goal and above all by the performance shown. This way we can start for the coming winter,” HFK coach Petr Večeř also commented on the match from his point of view.
