A winning autumn derniere! Sigma’s B-team takes three points from Brno after a 1:0 win over Zbrojovka. The Moravian derby was decided at the end of the match by Jan Fiala. Olomouc béčko hibernates for the eleventh time.
Sigma was not intimidated by the favorite and started actively on the Zbrojovka ground. Jáchym Šíp had a solid opportunity in the 4th minute after a corner signal. However, Štěpán Langer’s crossed cross was only sent into the hands of the goalkeeper Berkovec.
The home team scored the first shot on goal after a quarter of an hour, when Roman Potočný, another seasoned fighter from the league, shot from a penalty kick, but Tadeáš Stoppen was on the spot and caught it comfortably.
It was an even match, in which the Sigmars definitely did not get the short end of the stick. The proof is either the shooting attempts of Slavíček or Filip Urič, which had to be covered by Berkovec, Spáčil’s successful volley after the next signal, which stopped Potočný’s back, or Fial’s escape, which unfortunately ended with a shot between the posts. Matěj Hadaš probably had the greatest opportunity in the set time of the first half. After Urič’s center, which landed on a small lime, he did not manage to finish the fall strongly enough.
However, Zbrojovka also had its opportunities. Pachlopník did not mature on Stoppen with a shot from an angle and luck was with Olomouc when Hamza fired and Řezníček just missed.
The first act ended goalless.
At the beginning of the second half, Stoppen had to confirm the observation. Alijagić’s quick shot from the turn after a jam in the box was very unpleasant, but the Sigma goalkeeper managed it and went off just as promptly.
Sigma countered with a tutu to Šíp, who found himself alone in front of Berkovec after Mikulenka tapped him. Unfortunately, he aimed his left-foot over the crossbar.
On the other side, Řezníček headed in a moment later, but Stoppen was not surprised again. The Brno captain then tried to stir up his team in every way, for example with a yellow foul on Matys. After all, Zbrojovka pressed Sigma, but Hanács did not let the opponent have any chances.
In the 82nd minute, Sigma struck. Fiala took advantage of mistakes in the passing game. Instead of a pass to the running Mikulenko, he took it upon himself and shot past Berkovci with his left foot!
The Hanács in Králové Pol kept their lead and said goodbye to the autumn with a win after a 1:0 win over Brno!
Evaluation of coach Tomáš Janotka:
“It’s a big win for us, it tastes sweet. It was a great performance especially from a defensive point of view. We managed to attack the opponent’s play well and after one such action we scored the winning goal. I liked that we were able to be good on the ball, although the terrain was not easy. We tried to find a balance between directness and combination. The boys did a great job, we were more dangerous and we will take a well-deserved victory.”
