Everyone can decorate, everyone will decorate

At its 41st meeting on Tuesday, November 7, the City Council of Prague 1 agreed to organize and support the eighth annual Christmas event in the Loretan Garden called Everyone can decorate, everyone will decorate.

The municipality received a request from the company Prevence dětem to borrow land in the Loretan garden, where it wants to organize a traditional Christmas event with a competition for the prettiest Christmas tree.

As in previous years, a Christmas town will be created in the garden from November 20 to 30, where seventy trees will be placed, which will be available to the general public to decorate according to their imagination from December 1 to January 6.

The event will include a creative workshop located in a heated tent, a wooden nativity scene and Jesus’ heavenly office, where everyone can write their secret wishes on endless letter paper and ring the bell to make them come true. The dominant feature of the entire space will be an eight-meter decorated tree.

“I am very happy that Prague 1 can once again support this already traditional Christmas event in the Loreto Garden, which brings joy and creativity to our community during the Christmas period. I believe that this year too our garden will be full of beautifully decorated trees and that citizens will be able to look forward to the relaxed atmosphere and traditions associated with this period,” highlighted Mayor Terezie Radoměřská (TOP 09).

The event will be accompanied by an exhibition on the history of the Loreto Garden, located at the entrance on a paved area. There will also be refreshments.
