Councilor for culture Štěpán Rattay (Pirates) perceives the merit of the traditional competition: “This is one of our long-term projects aimed at supporting the development of creativity of young people. In this case, it is about fulfilling the artistic abilities of talented performers. For them, our competition can be an important incentive for further musical careers.”

This year, 17 young Czech talents took part in the competition. The youngest participant was the eight-year-old violinist Tadeáš Prokop. The absolute winner was cellist Jakub William Gráf. In other categories, oboe, piano, violin and flute players were particularly successful. Selected hopefuls from our partner cities – from Hungary’s Budapest (Újbuda), Romania’s Arad and Serbia’s Belgrade (Savski Venac) also performed at the award-winning performers’ concert. “Even this year, the competition brought great musical performances, which the young artists performed with all their splendor even at the final concert.
