The director of the Prague municipality, Martin Kubelka, recently celebrated his 40th birthday. However, his logs did not go unnoticed. Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda did not spare him a bit at the first council meeting this year.
The mayor included Director Kubelka with praise and thanks. “We thanked him for the way he works for the municipality. He is actually the head of our entire administration. All the things that we declare and defend here, he then has to implement them, and he runs the office really well, the individual unions work, so the congratulations were also thanks for his current activities,” said Mayor Svoboda (ODS).
Other politicians also came to congratulate Kubelka, as well as dozens of employees of the municipality. “I was glad that I held back tears and I must say that I was very pleased and surprised that actually the work that is here and it is joint work, that we manage to build a stable team, that we can lean on each other the second,” said Director Kubelka.
His career at the municipality still has the trajectory of a rising star, he joined in 2014 and gradually worked his way up to the head of the municipality in 2018. “I’ve been through different positions and this last one is probably the most challenging, surprisingly,” said Kubelka. Gradual growth was apparently a quality foundation for its current position. “What is essential for me about his work is that he really managed to connect all the individual departments with each other, that they communicate with each other, that they meet each other’s needs through communication, and that naturally results in a far more realistic solution to the problems we have ,” praised Mayor Svoboda.
According to Kubelka, it mainly depends on specific people. “If there is a will to work and cooperate, not to throw sticks under each other’s feet, then the work succeeds and really succeeds,” he added. According to him, this is also reflected in the management of the tasks that the state throws at the municipality. “Tasks above and beyond the call of duty, of course without receiving adequate financial compensation,” he added. “I would like him to continue to be as successful as he is now and to be satisfied in life, he had a child very recently, he has a three-month-old cricket, so let him prosper,” added Svoboda. Kubelka also received a silver medal from the Office of the Chamber of Deputies at the end of November. It was presented to him at a ceremonial meeting in the Hall of State Acts of the Chamber of Deputies.
