Mardi Gras time in the third city district will be revived by the killer feasts in the housing estates and the masquerade carnival for children in Měšťanská Beseda.
“I would like to invite our fellow citizens to the Slayer’s Feast, which takes place on two dates. First of all, the morning glory, intestines and other goodies will start to smell on Bory. In the inner block of Šimerovy Street, the event will start on Sunday, February 4, from ten o’clock and will last until three in the afternoon,” invites the mayor of Trojka, David Procházka.
At the same time, the Slayer’s Feast will also take place in Skvrňany, in the courtyard of Karel Steiner Street on February 18. “An accordionist will play at both events and from 1:00 p.m. there will be a commented demonstration of meat cutting in Bory and Skvrňany,” adds 1st Deputy Mayor Pavel Šrámek.
Young and old children will surely enjoy the superhero masquerade carnival. It takes place on March 3 in Měšťanská Beseda from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. “The entrance fee is completely free for the children of our district, an accompanying adult pays a symbolic 50 crowns. But everyone needs tickets, even the smallest ones, you can buy them at zero value on the website of the Měšťanská beseda or at the place before the event,” informs deputy mayor Ondřej Ženíšek.
The program of the superhero carnival was prepared by the Skupovka leisure center and participants can look forward to a whole lot of fun. “In addition to dancing and a parade of masks, children can also enjoy competitions, a creative zone or a photo booth with superhero props. We will be happy to welcome not only all superheroes, but also costumes of animals, supernatural beings, princes, princesses and others,” adds deputy mayor Ladislav Nový. A superhero doesn’t have to be just Superman or Batman, but perhaps a favorite fairy-tale character, a rescuer, a firefighter or a policeman. For others, it might be mom, grandpa, or best friend. We are very much looking forward to everyone.
