Sigma Olomouc football players drew 1:1 with Vejle in the last match of the winter training. In the end, Singhrateh won from the penalty, but the Danish opponent was still able to equalize.

As a result, Sigma Olomouc experienced an unsuccessful end to the preparation. Razgrad lost the last two duels with Kroměříž and Ludogorets by two goals, and the overall game with the second-to-last overall in the Danish league did not satisfy their appetite.

Matúš Macík started in goal, which probably means that he will start the spring part of FORTUNA:LIGA as number one. Stopper Vít Beneš, who was absent against the Bulgarian opponent, returned to the match after a minor injury.

In the last match in Turkey, it took a long time for a goal. And for a long time the game was also played without any major chances. It wasn’t until half an hour into the game that Juliš threatened twice, but the opponent’s goalkeeper was always ready. Even before halftime, he also picked up Beneš’s attempt.

After the change of sides, when coach Václav Jílek made the only change during the break, Hanáci rejoiced for the first time, but Juliš’s shot was ruled out for offside. Two minutes later, in the 58th minute, Vodháněl went at the goalkeeper himself, but even he couldn’t beat him.

Twenty minutes before the end, after combining with Moses, Singhateh passed to Fortelna in front of the open goal, but he missed in the fall. Sláma’s blow didn’t work either, so Sigma had to help herself with a standard.

Five minutes before the end, Štěpán Langer was fouled in the penalty area and Ebrima Singhateh converted the penalty kick. It looked as if he had scored the winning goal, but in the third minute, Lindo’s pinpoint shot went behind goalkeeper Macík and the duel ended 1:1. “Ebrima created two chances, converted a penalty and is showing strength. But I have to blame him, because we conceded the goal after a simple loss in the opponent’s half. Then he fell from a shot that wouldn’t even hit the goal,” regretted Václav Jílek.

“The importance of the results will come in the season, but we are disappointed. We wanted to end the training camp with a victory, and with simple math today it was 6-0 on clear chances. But we threw them away. It is positive that we created them, but we failed in transforming them. The goalkeeper stopped them with fantastic saves, but it went hand in hand with our impotence,” continued Jílek.

Now Sigma is waiting for the last week of preparation in home conditions, where they will be preparing for Saturday’s entry into the spring part of the FORTUNA:LIGA. He plays in Liberec at 3 p.m. She ended the winter break with a balance of two wins, three draws and two defeats with a total score of 8:9.

“We still have two question marks in the lineup, the rest is clear. Filip Novák has minor problems with his hand, we’ll see how we’re doing health-wise,” Jílek outlined for the first championship duel.
