24-hour tickets are particularly advantageous when calculated per kilometer of travel.
The expansion of the Prague Integrated Transport (PID) to the Karlovy Vary region also brought the possibility of traveling at a significantly lower price than with commercial connections between Prague and Karlovy Vary. For passengers with a time coupon for Prague, it is possible to purchase a return trip within 24 hours for just 140 CZK, for all others for 240 CZK. But for this price I can go from Turnov or Kutná Hora or any other place in the region.
Ropid employee Zbyněk Jiráček drew attention to the possibility of cheap travel on this route on his profile on the X social network. At the same time, the expansion shows the increasing advantage of the PID network ticket. In the Czech Republic, in terms of the scope and size of the area covered, it practically has no competition.
The PID is gradually expanding to other regions, with one document within 24 hours it is possible to travel from, for example, Turnov, Přelouč, Žatec or Litoměřice. In practice, for 240 CZK, a person can actually travel through five regions without any problems: for example, when traveling from Turnov to Karlovy Vary, he travels through the Liberec, Central Bohemia, Ústí and Karlovy Vary regions, as well as Prague.
The advantage of all-network tickets is evident even for a one-day trip from Prague. With a coupon for Prague public transport, the passenger gets a price of CZK 140 for the entire network and is valid for 24 hours.
