Another tragic traffic accident, the man succumbed to his injuries on the spot despite all the efforts of the responders
Today before three o’clock in the afternoon, a very serious traffic accident occurred on road 185 near Staňkov, during which a Škoda Felicia passenger car collided with an oncoming Fiat van from the GLS transport company.
Serious injuries were reported from the scene, so all emergency services went to the accident and the helicopter of the air rescue service took off.
Firefighters secured the scene of the accident and carried out fire fighting measures, at the same time they had to extricate the severely injured Škoda driver from the wreckage of the car using hydraulic rescue tools. After that, the rescuers took him over and started his resuscitation, at the same time they also took care of the female passenger from the Škoda car.
“The man suffered multiple injuries in the accident and unfortunately succumbed to them on the spot, despite all the efforts of the rescuers.” a spokeswoman for the air rescue service told us.
“A man born in 1942 suffered serious injuries and was resuscitated on the spot by paramedics. Despite all the efforts of the responders, it was not possible to restore the vital functions of the injured man and the doctor of the air rescue service pronounced him dead on the spot.
A woman born in 1965, who suffered serious injuries, was transported, conscious, to the Emergency Faculty Hospital Lochotín by the ground departure group.” added the spokeswoman for the rescuers.
The coroner was called to the scene and the investigation of the traffic accident was taken over by the criminal investigators. “The driver of the van, born in 2003, was driving in the direction from Staňkov to the village of Hlohová and, for reasons still unknown, drove into the opposite direction, where he collided head-on with a Škoda Felicia passenger vehicle. Two people from the passenger car were injured in the collision, when the driver, born in in 1942 he suffered life-threatening injuries, his female passenger, born in 1965, was transported to the hospital. Alcohol was ruled out for the driver of the van by a breath test, for the driver of a passenger car only according to the results of a sodium autopsy.” the police spokeswoman told us, adding that, of course, the police are still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
