Dispose of waste properly and have a contract for its disposal with an authorized company. In short, this is the obligation in the field of waste legislation for legal entities and natural persons doing business. According to the law, they are not allowed to put waste, including sorted components, in containers in the streets serving citizens.
Given that the residents of Litoměřice and the city itself pay extra for entrepreneurs who do not have these contracts concluded, inspections of establishments were started in this context. As part of the cooperation with the Department of the Environment, they have been carried out by the municipal trade office staff in Litoměřice during routine inspections of entrepreneurs. They have already found several violations in this regard. Inspections will therefore continue in the future.
“Our goal is to act preventively, and instead of repression, we first of all try to accommodate entrepreneurs, or help them to fulfill their legal obligations,” said Marcela Škrancová, head of the trade office.
