Pilsen Depo will dress in Bavarian colors, the tenth Treffpunkt will be held

For the second time, the event will take place under the direction of Depa. “After years when Treffpunkt was held with the help of various cross-border projects, last year we decided to organize it ourselves, although of course it would not have been possible without the support of our partners. It was successful, and this year we want to build on it and offer an even broader program,” said Jindřich Jindřich on behalf of the organizers.

The main part will again take place in the bus hall, on Thursday and Friday it starts at 6 pm, on Saturday already at 11.30 am. “One of the new features is the possibility to reserve a table, the second is that the program will also be extended to the Depo courtyard,” added Jindřich. The interest in the festival is also evidenced by the fact that on Wednesday afternoon there were only a few unoccupied tables left for each of the evenings. The last places, always for four people, can be reserved for a fee at goout.cz.

In the courtyard, there will be mainly a gastro zone with refreshments, but also part of the music program will take place there. “There will be a giant tent, so visitors don’t have to worry about bad weather,” added Lucie Lobotková for Depo.

The opening night of the three-day Czech-Bavarian festival Treffpunkt will be kicked off by the original Czech band MoveBreakers with their unmistakable mix of disco, funk, Italian folklore and even trap, which they call partybeat. “The five-member formation has two albums of original compositions and more than 200 concerts in Europe and the Czech Republic, including leading music festivals. Together with Movebreakers, the reins of the evening’s atmosphere will be handed over to the German Bavarian Connection, a quartet performing across the planet. For example, they played at Oktoberfests in Chicago, Moscow or Sri Lanka,” said Ricardo Delfino about the program of the first day of the Pilsen production Depo.

Friday’s celebration of Czech-Bavarian friendship will be colored by the sounds of the Karlovy Vary group Steven’s, winner of the talent competition of the international Blues Alive festival, and the German Gletscherfetzer. “After last year’s success, they return to Treffpunkt with their repertoire ranging from traditional Bavarian hits to rock pieces,” added Delfino.

The busiest program of the entire festival awaits visitors on Saturday, when the Orchestra of the ZUŠ Bedřich Smetana will conduct the visitors from morning to afternoon, followed by a group of Czech and Bavarian musicians Greet from Street. The early evening production will be taken up by the young group of musicians Sidemen, led by the singer Gaia Anzari, and the main star of the festival is the German band Mädchenalarm, five female singing musicians with a drummer. The Rüscherlwixx group, a trio of thoroughbred musicians from the Bavarian Forest with their folk repertoire, will provide a true Bavarian atmosphere in the courtyard throughout the afternoon.

All three evenings will be closed late by DJ Ladin. There will also be an accompanying program in the form of face painting and competitions. Entry to the event is free.
