The bishops distance themselves from the event with the blessing of Zeman’s book Conspiracy

In addition to the authors of the book, Zeman and Duka, the event was attended by a number of people who are associated with the so-called disinformation scene or who do not hide their pro-Russian attitudes. Ex-prime minister Jiří Paroubek, former head of the Slovak administration Miloš Balák, ex-chancellor Vratislav Mynář, communist Kateřina Konečná, MP for SPD Jaroslav Foldyna and Jana Bobošíková arrived.

“We consider the meeting in the Archbishop’s Palace in connection with the book ‘Conspiracy’ to be a deplorable event and we are aware of the outrage it caused among people, which is evidenced by a considerable number of reactions, especially from the ranks of Catholics. We understand these reactions, we hear them and we take them seriously,” the bishops said in a joint statement. They accepted him unanimously.

The situation was allegedly explained by Prague Archbishop Jan Graubner, who allegedly said that the archdiocese had rented the palace without having the necessary information. He also distances himself from the event. “For the future, measures have been taken to hold public events in church premises,” the bishops said.

At the same time, the Prague archbishopric said the day after the book’s launch that it allowed the presentation because it respects the friendship of former Prague archbishop Duka with Miloš Zeman.

The book deals with Zeman’s hospitalization

The book Conspiracy deals with the situation surrounding Zeman’s hospitalization and is supposed to show that it was a game between doctors and politicians with the aim of eliminating Zeman. The authors are Luboš Procházka and Radim Panenka. Duka wrote an afterword to the book.

The authors are now worried that their work is not available in the Luxor bookstore network, and have called on him to stop blocking the sale of the book.
