Hockey Mountfield HK announced the first Czech reinforcement for the upcoming extraleague season. Tall forward Jakub Pour is coming from Pilsen to the city under the White Tower. For his twenty-fifth birthday, which he celebrates today, he gave himself a new challenge in the form of a change of workplace.

Pour is a member of the West Bohemian club, where he got a chance in the A-team at a young age and the doors to overseas were opened for him when he was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks.

Although he did not make it to the most famous NHL hockey league, he still gained valuable experience. He first played in the AHL for the Rockford IceHogs, then tried the ECHL with the Indy Fuel club. He has already spent the last two years at home in Pilsen.

Hradec reports a second reinforcement. Slovak national team defender Mudrák signed up for him

“We have been following Jakub for a long time and have been in contact with his agent. We liked his strong hockey style and physical parameters. We firmly believe that Jakub, who signed a two-year contract, will become an important part of our team and that his performances will build on the period before leaving for the NHL, as he has all the prerequisites for that,” said Mountfield HK general manager Aleš Kmoníček on the club’s website.

Pour is the third reinforcement introduced. He will join Tomáš Martinec’s squad with Slovakian fullback Dávid Mudrák and American gunner Ryan Dmowski.
