The Legion train stands at Rokycan railway station. He arrived there on Monday, April 22nd, and if you haven’t had time to visit him yet and are interested, then hurry up. It will only be here until tomorrow. Those interested can see it for free, guided tours are available.

The stop in Rokycany in 2024 is the fourth place of his journey through the Czech Republic.

The legionary train is actually a mobile museum – a unique set of fourteen reconstructed cars, representing a faithful replica of the legionary train in which members of our foreign army lived and fought in Russia in the years 1918-1920.

Tours today and tomorrow only

Legion train it first went out in 2015. The Legion train helps the public, and especially the youth, to renew awareness of the Czechoslovak legions and their merits in the creation of an independent Czechoslovak state. The entrance to the Legion train exhibition is for free.

“Guided tours always start on the hour. Today there is the option of a guided tour until 6 p.m., and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the train only stopping at the station until Sunday, April 28.” she informed Adriana Jarošováspokesperson for the city of Rokycany.

The colleges of the Czech Republic have been running the Legion train with a mobile museum for the tenth year, and its goal is to remind not only the essential historical merit of the Czechoslovak legionnaires in the creation of our state.

Especially for the young generation

“It also serves as a reminder of the struggle of Czechs and Slovaks alongside the Allies in World War II, as well as the current role of the Army of the Czech Republic at home and in foreign operations, mainly among the young generation,” Jarošová added.
