On the morning of Saturday, April 27, the Freedom Square and the streets of Teplice were buzzing. Racing cars arrived in the spa town of Teplice. It was the third annual commemorative event for the then Teplice Rally, which was held for many years under the banner of Sklo Union. There was an exhibition of vehicles on the square, with which the crews then went to the streets of Teplice and further along Teplice.

The beginnings of the well-known Teplice Rally car race date back to 1972. That was the time when the first motorcycle competition was held and won by Josef Formánek and Jiří Kaftan in a Škoda 110 L Rallye. During the 70s and 80s of the last century, several measurements of automobile forces took place, either under the name Rallye Teplice or Rallye Sklo Union Teplice. Leo Pavlík stood on the podium most often (7 times). Václav Polívka recorded the most starts, 13.

After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, two races were held that continued the tradition of the iconic Teplice Rally. The last one in 2013 did not finish, due to a tragic accident in erzeta 7. Racer Věra Filipová lost control of the car in her blue Mitsubishi on a wet track and crashed.
