The British band The Cassandra Complex is celebrating 40 years on the music scene, so an extensive tour cannot be missed, during which the musicians will delight fans all over the world. As part of the European part, the Czech Republic will not be missing either, so these classics of industrial gothic rock will also perform in Prague’s Akropolis Palace.
Six piece band The Cassandra Complex comes from the English city of Leeds and was formed in 1984. The central musician and composer tandem still consists mainly of Irish musicians Rodney Orpheus and Paul Dillon. From the beginning, the group has a unique expression that combines electronica, rock and, without a doubt, gloomy minimalism in the spirit of gothic and darkwave. The band played in the Czech Republic for the first time already in the spring of 1990, i.e. very shortly after the Velvet Revolution. The last time domestic fans could enjoy them was in 2012, so quite a long time ago. The upcoming concert will surely be all the more intense!

The Cassandra Complex this year they released their twelfth self-titled album Death & Sex (so it is a reworked sister of an older act Sex & Death). The band’s work is generally flowery and rich in impressive pieces. The Czech audience will already be able to convince themselves of their qualities May 21, 2024 in Prague Acropolis Palaces. In addition to the founding musicians, a guest keyboardist will also perform Brent Heinz from the group Probe 7.
