At the weekend, a cyclist and then a woman riding a scooter crashed in Zlín. Neither of them was wearing a helmet, both ended up in the hospital with injuries. In addition, the man inhaled more than two per thousand.

The cyclist’s cap fell off, the rider lost control

A forty-five-year-old female driver crashed while riding an electric scooter in Žlutava near Napajedel on Saturday before midnight. Paramedics took the woman to the hospital with injuries. A medical examination will show whether she was under the influence of alcohol.

On Sunday, shortly before 7:00 p.m., a drunk fifty-year-old cyclist crashed in Štefánikova Street in Zlín. The immediate cause of the crash was his cap, which fell off the man’s head and he turned behind it. He fell over the handlebars while braking.

“He inhaled more than two per thousand,” added police spokeswoman Monika Kozumplíková. Paramedics took the cyclist to the hospital with injuries.

“Neither one was wearing a helmet,” confirmed a police spokeswoman.
