Around eight hundred motorcyclists, mostly on machines of the American brand Harley-Davidson, rode through the center of Prague on Saturday. The ride took place as part of the tenth annual Prague Harley Days event, which had its main tent at the Prague Exhibition Centre. The gathering of Harleys was captured by photographer Richard Horák.

The ride, which lasted more than an hour, started and ended at the Prague Exhibition Center, and motorcyclists formed a column almost a kilometer long. It included a stop at Wenceslas Square. “The sleepy ride is a huge experience every year, it’s a festival of freedom,” said Jaroslav Vavřina, one of the organizers of the event.

Motorcyclists started to line up in the lower part of the Exhibition Grounds already before nine o’clock in the morning on Saturday. In addition to Harley-Davidoson machines, participants also came on motorcycles of other brands – even several mopeds were seen here.

The convoy went on a tour of Prague at approximately half past ten, and the line of motorcyclists was so long that the last of them left the Exhibition Center more than 20 minutes after the start.

The motorcyclists set off in the direction of the center of Prague and passed through Veletržní and Bubenská streets, then headed to Hlávkův most and continued along the highway to Wenceslas Square. The short stop there included a parachutist jump, as the Czech armed forces also joined the event. From Wenceslas Square, the convoy then traveled through Sokolská and Žitná streets to Karlovo náměstí and then along the Masaryk embankment and over the Čechův bridge back to the Exhibition Center. He got there around noon.

Motorcyclists were accompanied during the journey by accompanying vehicles and the police, who stopped traffic operatively as they passed along the route. Hundreds of enthusiasts watched the start of the sleepy ride at the Exhibition Center, but the convoy attracted the interest of onlookers during practically the entire route.
