Prague/Brno September 5, 2022 (PROTEXT) – To maximally support the development of the motorcycle industry in the Czech Republic and to accommodate exhibitors and importers participating in exhibitions focused on this field. Three key entities – Veletrhy Brno, the Prague organizer ABF and the Motor Section of the Association of Automobile Importers jointly agreed on such a step. Their representatives agreed to organize branch events alternately in Prague and Brno. Along with the trade fair events, the announcement of the prestigious Motorcycle of the Year poll will also move between the capital and the Moravian metropolis.

Representatives of the companies Veletrhy Brno, ABF and the Association of Automobile Importers decided to listen to the wishes of the exhibitors and importers of the motorcycle segment in order to support the development of the field and to streamline its presentation to professionals and the general public throughout the Czech Republic. Motorcycles, ATVs and their accessories will be presented in Prague and Brno in an alternating model every two years. While in the capital, the halls of the PVA EXPO PRAGUE exhibition center are filled with novelties from the motorcycle industry as part of the MOTOCYKL PRAHA fair in odd years, the BVV exhibition center in Brno and its international MOTOSALON fair always visit in even years.

“The logic of alternating the fair between Prague and Brno every two years has been proven for years. I consider it logical and correct that both co-organizing fair administrations should have the opportunity to use the potential of their own fair spaces for the benefit of the quality of the fair and the satisfaction of motorcycle exhibitors and visitors.” said Tomáš Moravec, CEO of Veletrhy Brno.

First, professionals from the field and fans of the motorcycle industry will meet together from March 2 to 5, 2023 at the Letňany exhibition center in Prague. The sectoral division of the exhibition will offer motorcycles, scooters, four-wheelers, sports and racing motorcycles, trailers for motorcycles, parts and accessories, accessories and equipment or technology for operation and repairs.

“The simultaneous event Bohemian Custom Motorcycles will also contribute to the joint support of the industry and the establishment of fair and friendly conditions for exhibitors and visitors of these events. In the spring, it will move from Liberec to Prague, where the public will be presented with the construction and conversion of motorcycles by top builders from the country and abroad, “ said ABF CEO Martin František Přívětivý. The Prague MOTOCYKL PRAHA fair will also be supported by media partners FTV Prima and Czech News Center.

Just like the motorcycle range itself, the traditional Motorcycle of the Year poll will also move between Prague and Brno. The announcement of the next edition of the popular competition, in which the winners in individual categories are decided by an expert jury and the general public through voting, will thus take place in the spring of 2023 in Prague. “We welcome that the traditional exhibition motorcycle event will continue to include the Motorcycle of the Year poll, when the start of the motorcycle season will be enriched by combining the presentation of news with the selection of the overall winner and the best-rated representatives of the categories.” said Josef Pokorný, secretary for the Association of Automobile Importers.
