The government’s options for influencing inflation or the price of energy are also limited. Political scientist Havlk works at the National Institute for Research on the Socioeconomic Impact of Diseases and Systemic Risks (SYRI) in Brno.

The worsening economic situation of the majority of the people will likely lead to a decline in the number of members of the ruling party, possibly even social unrest and an increase in the number of members of the opposition parties at the moment, said Havlk.

SYRI researchers analyzed polarization in the Czech political scene from the Czech parliamentary elections to the present. According to them, the failure of the Spolu and Pirt se Starosty coalition was based on an anti-populist campaign, which was a reaction to ANO and SPD.

Such a campaign is inherently risky. The campaign for the last election was based both on negativity and on the one hand on a highly moralistic and, as a result, unforgivable appeal, and like populism, it contributed to polarization, explained Havlk, who analyzed the Czech political scene with his colleague Alena Kluknavská in a link for the Journal of Common Market Studies.

Fascist Putinovsk scum? Janeek disagrees, he was at Vclavek

According to the experts, the current government party has succeeded in its proclaimed path to a sunny and healthy policy, but women have retreated to the background. This really disappoints me for two reasons. Politics itself is not a world of glory and honesty, but a struggle for power, a pragmatic dispute, is full of compromise. or this moral appeal must be fulfilled. For the species, there was not much debate about general topics such as taxes, wages, transport, the environment or the first sexual change, Havlk said.

According to scientists, further development will depend on external factors, such as energy prices, and on how the government deals with problems and how it handles the complicity of the opposition.

What a strong result of the importance of economic topics and the message of polarization around them. It is a big mistake for ANO, which did not do well during the pandemic, but thanks to previous macroeconomic growth and a very strong redistributive policy, there should be a considerable number of voters as a competent alternative to the government. Havlk stated that the rest of the effort to get into this role with the help of the Za Babie campaign was difficult.

Working poverty is a shame, said Stedula. Bring a demonstration to Prague

According to the scientist, in the Czech environment, which is typically opposed to traditional parties, space has opened up for so-called centrist populism with the path to an apparently non-political or non-party union. This is how Babi succeeded with the course of a non-political manager who will make the state more efficient and replace the corrupt world of political parties, Havlk said.

YES, however, it will move and take over the voter base of social democracy and KSM. According to the expert, the movement now elects older people and those who are economically well off and expect a strong role for the state.
