A day for good with Tesco

Community support is an integral part of our business, we want to be a good neighbor wherever we operate our stores. I would like to invite you to the first year of the Day for Good event, where we will appreciate the selected organization of our grant program You decide, we will help, then a rich accompanying program will be prepared for the children, to Katarna Navrtilov, general editor of Tesco R.

The community day includes prize competitions for children, such as a canistherapy demonstration, hands-on modeling, sign language lessons and board games. There will be a free cotton candy booth for young children.

In the form of an interview, in front of NC Eden, I will introduce organizations with which we have been cooperating for a long time in the field of community support, such as hunters in need, Diakonie eskobratrsk evangelick church, Federation of Food Banks and the Foundation for the Development of Obansk Responsibilities. Volunteers can stop by the websites where the Dobro-djky charity organization, Diakonie CE, Center for Children’s Hearing Tamtam, Tich svt, Mumraj family and community center present their activities to help children. Present the Tesco Andl charity project to your activities.

Note to editors:

The unique grant program of the Tesco Endowment Fund You decide, we help has been supporting public benefit projects of non-profit and charitable organizations throughout the Czech Republic since 2016. In total, Tesco donated 46,890,000 crowns to support communities in the Czech Republic, which it divided between 2,230 public benefit projects.

Thus, since 2013, Tesco has been involved in food collections throughout the Czech Republic and thus helped to provide food to those who found themselves in a difficult life situation.

Through partnerships with national food banks, which help redistribute surplus food, Tesco donated 1,443 tons of surplus food from stores and distribution centers to local charitable organizations last year. This is an increase of 6% and the equivalent of 3.4 million meals that will help people in need.
