How noisy can electric cars be? Czech Republic is preparing for the big men

And that will also be reflected in how new communications will be built. This includes the Ministry of Transport itself, which concluded a contract with the EKOLA group company in erven.

For 2,297,306 crowns, the company can realize the external noise level of various types of electric cars for the simple implementation of the levels in the input noise methodologies. According to the detailed specification, which is part of the contract, the number is necessary for insight into the death of road constructions.

We want to find out how electric vehicles of different types behave with regard to their acoustic emissions at different speeds, said Frantiek Jemelka, speaking for the Ministry of Transport.

The results will be used in the noise studies of the planned death of buildings in the Czech Republic, he added.

The analysis, which the Ministry of Transport should eventually get its hands on, was created in connection with the European input methodology CNOSSOS-EU, which the department is trying to adapt to its conditions. There is a need to define specific national input parameters in the methodology, Jemelka said. The methodology determines how to unify the assessment of noise from roads, railways and industry in the European Union.

Billions for infrastructure

In addition to noise, there are other new factors associated with electromobility. The power infrastructure should, for example, cope with their weight. It is therefore necessary to examine the sufficient load-bearing capacity of the road and individual buildings, states Hani. The most important thing is charging: the stations should be easily accessible, have sufficient electrical power, be stable and well connected to reliable energy sources.

esk stt implements a large investment in changes in transport oriented towards dream emission. A month ago, the European Commission approved the Czech Transport program for the next five years. In Russia, 6 billion crowns are available.

Funds should be invested in railways and infrastructure. it should also go to building charging stations for cars and trucks for electronics. Czech Republic has one of the most expensive electric cars of all EU countries. Every tenth car produced in the Czech Republic has an electric charge, but only one in fifty of those sold has it.

The Ministry of Transport stated that, thanks to the Transport Operative Program, it supported the construction of 2,300 filling stations over the past five years. In addition, the Department of the Environment subsidizes the purchase of cars with an alternative drive for municipalities, regions and the government.

Weak support

The experts interviewed agree that the state could do more for the development of electromobility. However, state support is largely symbolic. The projects that started the development of electromobility in a significant way in countries with a high proportion of electric cars were not yet feasible in R, said Luk Folbrecht, secretary of the Electromobile Platform.

The development of electromobility in the Czech Republic would certainly benefit if private individuals could also apply for subsidies, as is the case in Germany, where there is a plon subsidy, comments Eva Mariniov, an expert on European funds from the CDU.

Folbrecht adds that it would also help to simplify the construction and permitting of refueling stations, according to which the fee for reserved power from st. Due to the currently limited number of electric cars on the roads, the charging station does not have sufficient capacity, and paying fees for the reserved power in full would not be even close to capacity, comments Folbrecht.

While in other sectors, such as energy, industry and agriculture, the European state of emissions can slowly decrease, in transport the trend is reversed. About a quarter of the emitted greenhouse gases in the EU come from this industry, and the number is constantly growing, by no more than 33 percent over the last ten years. Less than a quarter of emissions from transport are primarily due to road transport.

The 127th march on electromobility initiated it in the European strategy for low-emission mobility, which is intended to support alternative drives, as well as public transport and shared means of transport. Members of the European Parliament voted to end the production of new cars with internal combustion engines. A similar step was announced by the two largest car companies.

According to the latest report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), electromobility can lead to sufficient emission reductions, only if it is supplemented by a shift to renewable sources, especially decentralized ones. And the dream of fewer private cars in favor of public transport.
