The revenues of the Liberec region for the first eight months of this year have an upward trend. Already for the period January to May 2022, the Liberec Region could dispose of higher tax revenues, namely 294.4 million crowns. The region could use these to repay the loan for the reconstruction of regional roads from 2006. Currently, the collection of shared taxes for the months of January to August 2022 is 378 million crowns higher than the region expected. Compared to the same period in 2021, this amount is even higher by 412 million.
“Thanks higher upm yesIn June, we paid off a loan for the reconstruction of regional roads from 2006 to new revenues. This is part of the preparation of the regional budget for the start of investment in the construction of a new pavilion for the Emergency Medicine Center of the Liberec Regional Hospital in 2023. We also expect increased tax collection in gaveshech mmonths of 2022. We will wait to make a decision on their use until the decision of the government of the Czech Republic on the state energy trader and support for the operation of public institutions in 2023 is clear. Only then will the energy costs for the Liberec Region and our 86 contributory organizations be clear which the region will have to finance from its budget in 2023. In the era of power plantsE crisis, we must have a sufficient reserve created for next year. I guarantee the residents of the region that the operation of public services in hospitals, schools, homes for the elderly and all other institutions will be maintained,“ said Governor Martin Půta.
