For the third time, you will be able to enjoy neighborhood festivities with SmetanaQ and other businesses from Smetana nábreží as part of the Experience the city differently! event. And what awaits you on the third Saturday in September? For example, a jewelry workshop by designers Antonia Lecher and Adély Schicker, a concert by the magical glass instrument BOHEMIAN CRISTAL INSTRUMENT, gentle yoga by ŽIVOTa90, a summer cinema or at the SEEAY THERE by Seeya Creative afterparty. The rich program offers all-day and one-off activities. However, we recommend starting Experience the city differently on September 17 with a light breakfast at Bistro no. 19! And if you’re still hungry during the day, head out with your loved ones for a special menu at SmetanaQ Café & Bistro. If you like to create, we definitely recommend the Journey to a Jewel workshop, thanks to which, together with the renowned jewelers Antonia Lecher and Adéla Schicker, you can look under the hood of detailed craftsmanship and take home a hand-made accessory. Kytkomil fans should not miss the plantarium production workshop at Bistro no 19, and if you prefer more sporty activities, the quick belly dance workshops or gentle yoga from ŽIVOTa90 will be just right for you. Music lovers, the program will offer electronic music of the a4 project, work across the genres of tech house, funk and groove by the Czech artist Jan Pechan alias DJ Terran or a concert by Lenka Morávková with a unique instrument made of Czech glass, the BOHEMIAN CRISTAL INSTRUMENT, which will ring out the SmetanaQ courtyard with its fragile tones. And a few steps further, at Prague’s Čapadlo, you can listen to the rhythms of the Marco Micelli Band. This year too, there will be a number of exhibitions and guided tours in the vicinity of Smetana’s embankment, which, in addition to the SmetanaQ Gallery, will also be offered by the Hollar Gallery or the Rotunda Nalezení sv. Crisis. Photos of ŽIVOTa90 clients, which were created during a photography workshop with the JTI company under the expert guidance of photographer František Ortmann, will also be on view on Smetana’s embankment. For those of you who like to discover the unknown, the SmetanaQ house has also prepared a Tour de SmetanaQ, thanks to which, together with SmetanaQ Gallery curator Markéta and manager Pavla, you will get to places otherwise inaccessible to the public. And if you’ve ever wondered how newcomers to Prague feel, Divadlo Na zábradlí will try to convey this experience to you in the form of a theatrical installation. The production is freely accessible at any time from 15:30 to 17:00 and you will spend about 20-30 minutes with it.

The entire Saturday will be closed by the screening of student films in the courtyard of the SmetanaQ house. The local studio Seeya Creative will take care not only of a specially created summer cinema, but also of a subsequent after-party with a unique musical background.
