The Czech-German workshop will connect academics and industry representatives

Establishing closer cooperation with industrial enterprises is one of the goals of the 2nd Czech-German workshop for industrial research and innovation, which, under the title Energy Systems Solutions for the Future, is being held on November 15, 2022 at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany by the University of Mining and Technology – Ostrava University of Technology.

The entire event within the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany is organized by the University of Mining and Technology Ostrava with partners from Fraunhofer’s innovation platform of applied artificial intelligence for materials and production. Those interested in participating can register via an electronic form, viz no later than October 31, 2022.

“At the workshop, we will present the possibilities of cooperation of Fraunhofer’s innovation platform, Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Applied Artificial Intelligence for Materials & Manufacturing at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava ([email protected]), either on a contractual or project basis. With this, we are trying to further develop the possibilities of cooperation with the application sphere in various areas of technical fields.” said the director of [email protected] and vice-rector for science and research Jana Kukutschová.

[email protected] is the only innovation platform of a major German research institution in the Czech Republic. It is engaged in research and development of the great potential of energy management technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent manufacturing in industry.

“While VŠB-TUO contributes knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence and next-generation computers to the cooperation, Fraunhofer ICT offers experience in the field of materials research and energy systems, and Fraunhofer IWU in the field of production technologies and production. The combination of these competencies enables partners to offer extremely powerful solutions for the entire industrial value chain.” added Kukutschová.

Representatives will speak at the seminar of all partners involved in the innovation platform and also representatives CzechInvest and Technology agencies of the Czech Republic. All information, including the preliminary program, is available here.
