Depeche Mode will perform on July 30, 2023 in Prague

--

Details of the planned tour were announced by Depeche Mode in Berlin. It will be preceded by the release of the album Memento Mori, which is planned for the spring of next year.

Dave Gahan and Martin Gore, two of the band’s members, have revealed that the concert tour will kick off on March 23, 2023 with a special run of shows in North American arenas. It will include stops in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto. Subsequently, on May 16, the band will start a European stadium tour.

“We started working on the entire project at the beginning of the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by this time. After the death of our team mate Andy Fletcher we decided to continue as we are sure he would have wanted to. That added more meaning to the project,” revealed keyboardist and guitarist Martin Gore.

Singer Dave Gahan added: “Andy would love the album. We are really looking forward to sharing them with you. We can’t wait to introduce him to you in concerts next year.”

The Memento Mori Tour will be Depeche Mode’s nineteenth tour and first in over five years. The final 2017–2018 Global Spirit Tour concert series was the longest to date and was among the highest-grossing tours of the year. The band played to more than three million fans during 130 concerts in Europe and North America. Memento Mori will be Depeche Mode’s fifteenth studio album.
