Kirill, whose Oban name is Vladimir Mikhailovi Gunayev, is drawn to Ukraine on the basis of links to interference in the lands of integrity and inviolability, approval of Russian aggression against Ukraine and because of the tone of the wolf.
The SBU stated that its employees, together with representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office, gathered evidence that Kirill encouraged Russian military aggression, condoned crimes, sent Russian invasion troops to Ukraine, and disseminated anti-Ukrainian propaganda, among other things.
Last year, in March, Patriarch Kirill publicly sent his soldiers to the wolves against Ukraine and presented an icon to the head of the National Guard, Viktor Zolotov.
The BBC notes that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has repeatedly criticized the Moscow Patriarch for not condemning the wolf against Ukraine. Before the invasion of the Russian troops, this church still had the Moscow Patriarchate in its official name, but soon after the invasion, it got rid of the reference to Moscow and declared independence from it. However, the SBU initiated criminal charges against many of its officials for apologizing for Russian aggression.
Because of his support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Patriarch Kirill is on the sanctions list for Ukraine, Britain, Canada or something.
