Diplomat and honorary chairman of TOP 09 Karel Schwarzenberg was flown to a hospital in Vienna, informs Novinky.cz with a link to the Expres server. The prince has been struggling with health problems since the summer, due to which he was hospitalized several times.

Schwarzenberg’s health did not improve, so he was transferred to a hospital in Vienna. “They transported me by plane to make it faster,” the prince told the Expres server. He added that this way he will be closer to his grandchildren.
“Ask the doctors why they brought me here. I do not know it. I don’t think there are more specialists here than in the Czech Republic. I estimate that it will be roughly the same,” Schwarzenberg, who spent a large part of his life in Vienna and has part of his family there, told Expres.

The former foreign minister was recently awarded the Order of the White Lion by President Petr Pavel. However, his son Jan took over for him, as Schwarzenberg’s health did not allow him to participate in the handover ceremony.
After his hospitalization in Prague in August, the prince sounded optimistic. In late September, he stated that he was feeling better and was looking forward to being released. But they kept him in the hospital. “They found something for me there and want to investigate it,” described the prince.
