Haagari reiterated that Israel is not fighting against civilians, but against Hamas. However, since the start of the military operation in the Gaza Strip, which began with shelling and is now continuing with the ground phase, over ten and a half thousand civilians have been killed, and 40 percent of these victims are children, according to sources in the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health there.

Israel’s military says no ceasefire or cessation of hostilities will take place or is planned. It is so obvious that there are still negotiations with other countries. According to American sources and the Haaretz newspaper, these negotiations are now at a critical stage, which may mean that there will be no stopping of the fighting points in the foreseeable future.

There is more and more talk about what the administration of the Gaza Strip should look like after the end of the war. There is already a consensus that the Gaza Strip should not be controlled by Hamas, so that attacks like the one on the seventh of October are repeated. About two days ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu talked about the fact that Israel would take over security guarantees over the Gaza Strip indefinitely. But then he moderated his statement.

When the head of American diplomacy Blinken was in Tokyo, he admitted that there could be a certain transition period after the end of the conflict. But he added that the United States does not want Israel to reoccupy the Gaza Strip. The Palestinians themselves are supposed to rule there, but without Hamas.

In addition to Hamas, Israel is also targeted by Hezbollah, which is shelling Israel on the Lebanese border. But it is largely evacuated. But Israel is also attacking targets in Lebanon. During the night, the Israeli army confirmed that it had attacked with airstrikes several places from which Hezbollah launches rockets.
