Before the fourth round of the group stage, the Czech Republic was ahead of sixteenth-ranked Serbia by roughly half a point in the ranking, and after Thursday’s program it significantly increased it. The domestic clubs also leapfrogged 14th-placed Denmark and 15th-placed Norway, on which they already have almost a point to their credit.

The Czech Republic confirmed excellent results in the cup season and registered 1,500 points this week. One point was earned on Thursday for the results – Slavia beat AS Rome 2:0 in the European League and Pilsen beat Dinamo Zagreb 1:0 in the European Conference League. Sparta, the second Prague club, did not succeed, losing 1:2 to Rangers in Glasgow. The Czech Republic then scored another half point for Pilsen’s already certain first place in the group.

In addition to West Bohemia, Slavia is also certain to participate in the spring phase of the cups. It is practically certain that the Czech Republic will not lose the elite fifteen this season. Domestic clubs can also attack other positions in front of them: they lose only 1,375 points to twelfth Switzerland and 1,600 points to eleventh Austria.

In the main stage of the cups, two points are awarded for a win and one for a draw. The gain in the ranking is then divided by the number of representatives of the given state in the season, in the Czech case by four. The only Bohemians 1905 this year did not score a single point and were eliminated at the very beginning of the qualification. Additional bonus points are awarded for some procedures. The Czech Republic has collected 29 points so far this year, which after dividing by four makes 7,250 points.

They are currently playing for deployment until the 2025/26 season. For the next year 2024/25, the Czech Republic is already certain to return to five representatives in the cups and two teams in the Champions League qualification. If domestic clubs jumped to 12th place in the rankings, two of them would go to the Europa League and only one to the Conference League in the 2025/26 season. It will be the opposite for next year.
