If we do not agree on kvtch (water removal), the lake will definitely dry up. The water is not flowing, among other things, due to the lack of water, said Rez Arafzdehov from the Russian Ministry of the Environment, quoted by the AFP agency. If the disease can be stopped, it is up to you to stop the construction of new dams and limit agricultural activities.

Lake Ormje (also Urmijsk jezero) was signed in 1971 in Rmsar, Rhineland-Palatinate, to become a place of international importance for its protected waterfowl habitat.

The lake has no outlet and its original size was maintained by the ratio between the drinking water and the people who used it.

the lack of water, which began in 1995, is explained by a combination of rising temperatures, a small number of lakes, the construction of dams and intensive agricultural activities. Receding water means that e.g. flounder, deer and wild sheep are endangered. Lake water contains salt, even in crustaceans, but not fish.

Arafzdehov said that although the lake did not completely dry up, it split into a northern and another part. In 2013, the Russian government and the United Nations Development Program started a rescue program with Japanese financial assistance. After the last rush, by 2017 the area of the lake had spread to 2,300 square kilometers, but due to the following long-term drought, the water began to recede again.
