In the NHL, Martin Nečas scored a goal in overtime for the Carolina hockey players to win 3:2 over Buffalo and was named the first star of the match. Radim Zohorn also scored the winning goal in Pittsburgh’s 2-0 triumph on Anaheim ice.
Nečas ended the overtime after ninety seconds. The Czech striker finished off a great performance when he went down in front of the goal and directed Sebastian Ah’s pass into the net.
Nečas scored in overtime for the Hurricanes for the ninth time in his career, and only Aho (10) is better in club history.
Zohorna threw the puck into the goal area from a negative angle in the 13th minute, and goalkeeper John Gibson knocked it into his own net.
The Czech forward scored his third goal of the season in seven games played. Sidney Crosby sealed the win on Anaheim’s final scoreless goal.
Of the Czech goalkeepers, only Vítek Vaněček intervened in Tuesday’s program, who did not prevent New Jersey from losing 3:6 in Colorado with 26 saves.
The guests equalized at 3:3 in the 36th minute after an assist from Ondřej Palát. However, Colorado dominated the last third, and Mikko Rantanen (2+1) and Cale Makar (0+3) contributed three points to their victory.
On the winning side, Ondřej Pavel made his debut in the competition, who played seven minutes in the premiere and recorded one negative point in the +/- statistics.
Vaněček, who won every time in his previous four starts, cashed in five times. The remaining goal went into an empty net.
