Haaland fulfilled the challenge and again moved records. A man of his word, the gunner pleased Drogba

When he stepped onto the stage of the Paris Chatelet theater at the end of October, he had to settle for “only” the award for the best striker of the past season. Gunner Erling Haaland (23) did not win the Golden Ball this time, despite his phenomenal performances, but he was in a very good mood during the prestigious ceremony.

After all, prompt moderator and legendary striker Didier Drogba (45) also contributed to it, who pushed Nora to celebrate another goal like he did in the past. The hairy blond nodded at the challenge, kept his word and, moreover, moved records again.

The celebration, without which almost no goal of the legendary Chelsea striker was complete, was performed by Haaland at the first possible opportunity. During the weekend, the forward of Manchester City did not yet sign during the great victory over Bournemouth (6:1), but he already celebrated twice in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Citizens confirmed their place in the knockout stages with a 3-0 win over Young Boys Bern in the fourth leg of their Champions League group stage, and the Norwegian thoroughly enjoyed his two-goal night. He took the spotlight for himself for the first time only after 20 minutes of the game, when he safely converted a penalty kick and then made a brief mention of the “bet” with Drogba. “A man of his word!” the former Ivory Coast international responded on Instagram.

The author of 56 goals from last season also came close to another record with his second goal after Tuesday night, as he is currently attacking Ruud van Nistelrooij’s record. The legendary Dutchman needed 45 games to score 40 goals among the cream of the crop. The gunner from the blue part of Manchester has only one hit left, which he has in 11 matches.

But that’s not all. With his performance, Haaland also helped the Citizens score 250 goals in the history of the Champions League. The raging machine from Manchester managed it the fastest of the 12 teams so far, when it needed only 119 matches.
