The calm of Wednesday evening was broken up by an exchange for the Atlantic, which includes a Czech hockey player. Attacker Adam Raška is heading from San Jose to Minnesota, the clubs informed about the agreement on official communication channels.

The main item of the trade is 23-year-old quarterback Calen Addison. During his short career in the NHL, he changes his jersey for the second time: he originally developed in the Pittsburgh organization, then from February 2020 he belonged to Minnesota.

The Sharks sent a fifth-round pick in the 2026 draft in the opposite direction for an offensive-minded fullback, namely Raška (22). The energetic forward is leaving the western US after about two years.

During that time, he managed to fulfill his ultimate dream – he got a sniff in the most famous hockey league in the world on eight occasions. However, he spent most of his time in the AHL farm, where he accumulated 110 starts.

He also started the current season as a member of the reserve team of San Jose, and now he has to report almost three thousand kilometers in the eastern direction. In the Wild system, he will meet defender David Špaček and forward Pavle Novák.

Before that, Raška went through the youth team of Třinec, he even played 11 matches in the extra league for Ocelář. At the same time, he regularly represented and as a nineteen-year-old he played for the A team at the Karjala Cup.

After this season, the three-year rookie contract he signed in May 2021 will expire for the Kopřivnice native.
