However, the victory was not easy, because at the beginning of the match, the Portuguese team scored a penalty. Goalkeeper Andrij Lunin, however, caught it and encouraged his teammates, who celebrated the decisive goal in the 27th minute after the interplay between Rodrygo and the finisher Brahim Díaz. So far, the coach has more or less overlooked him, but this time, in the absence of Jud Bellingham, he got a chance and with his first goal in the millionaire competition in the colors of the “White Ballet” he put a stamp on the progress of the home team to the round of 16.
Real Madrid surprisingly hesitated after winning El Clásico when they only drew with Vallecano at home at the weekend.
