Real Madrid beat Braga 3-0 in front of their own fans in the fourth round of Group C of the Champions League. However, the victory was not easy, because at the beginning of the match, the Portuguese team scored a penalty. Goalkeeper Andrij Lunin, however, caught it and encouraged his teammates, who celebrated the decisive goal in the 27th minute after the interplay between Rodrygo and the finisher Brahim Díaz. So far, the coach has more or less overlooked him, but this time, in the absence of Jud Bellingham, he got a chance and with his first goal in the millionaire competition in the colors of the “White Ballet” he put a stamp on the progress of the home team to the round of 16.

Real Madrid surprisingly hesitated after winning El Clásico when they only drew with Vallecano at home at the weekend. In addition, during the unexpected loss, a key player Bellingham injured his shoulder, so he only started on the bench in the match against Braza. This was a relatively big intervention in the offensive for the White Ballet, as up to 13 Los Blancos goals were scored by the English jewel.

Another wrinkle on Carlo Ancelotti’s forehead was already caused by Lucas Vázquez in the fourth minute when he pulled down an opponent in the penalty area. Lunin, however, took the ordered penalty kick after he guessed the direction where Álvaro Djaló was heading from the penalty spot. Subsequently, on the other side, Díaz was happy with the scored goal, but due to the previous foul, the score remained tied. During the next event, the midfielder could rejoice. Rodrygo served the ball to a small area and the 24-year-old Spaniard uncompromisingly sent it under the crossbar. The assisting Brazilian could have scored himself at the end of the half, but he did not surprise Matheo from the angle.

The Brazilian-Spanish interplay could also be seen at the beginning of the second half, when Rodrygo again gave the ball to Díaz in a great opportunity, but this time the Braga goalkeeper made a quick save. After a while, however, Matheus was unable to react to Vinícius Junior’s ground blow. After an hour of play, “Bílý ballet” already led 3:0, when Rodrygo ended a quick counterattack with a parachute. Immediately, the skillful shooter could have added another goal, but his attempt only went into the side net. Pusinky kept their lead until the end of the match.

Real Madrid did not hesitate for the second time in a row at home and won three more points. Both teams will play the next round of the group stage on November 29. Los Blancos will face Napoli, Braga will then challenge Union Berlin in an important match.
