Wolverhampton football players turned the match of the 12th round of the English league with Tottenham around with two goals in the set time and won 2:1. Arsenal took advantage of their rivals’ hesitation to beat Burnley 3-1 at home to replace Tottenham in second place. Manchester United beat Luton 1-0.

The hero of the match in Wolverhampton was Pablo Sarabia, who entered the game in the 87th minute and equalized at the beginning of the match. In the 97th minute, he passed to Mario Lemin for the winning goal.

Tottenham, who suffered their first defeat in the competition at home to Chelsea in the last round (1:4), missed the opportunity to return to the top of the table at least until Sunday and also lost second place. The guests had to do without Romero and Udogie, who were sent off in the game against Chelsea. Until the end of the year, Spurs will be without Maddison and Van de Ven, who were injured in the London derby.

Nevertheless, Tottenham took the lead in the third minute when Johnson made his mark for the first time since his summer transfer from Nottingham. The guests then held a narrow lead for a long time, but at the very end they could not resist. Wolverhampton moved up to 11th place in the incomplete table.

Arsenal confirmed their role as favorites at home, beating Burnley 3-1. Trossard opened the scoring in the first-half setup with Arsenal’s 1000th competitive goal at the Emirates Stadium. The Belgian assisted Saliba’s goal to help the Gunners take the lead back after Brownhill equalized in the 54th minute. Zincenko secured the three-point win for the home team.

Arsenal caught up with first-placed Manchester City on points, but they have Sunday’s match at Chelsea’s stadium to look forward to. Burnley suffered their fifth defeat in a row and are in penultimate place with four points.

Manchester United beat Luton 1-0 with Lindelöf’s 59th minute goal. The “Red Devils” won for the second time in a row and are sixth in the table. Luton are without a win for the sixth time in a row and are seventeenth in the table.

Bournemouth surprised favorites Newcastle at home and won 2-0 thanks to two goals from Dominic Solanke in the 60th and 73rd minutes. The home side won for the second time in the league season, with both victories coming in the last three rounds, and with nine points they are in 17th place. “Magpies” lost in the league for the first time since September 2 and are in seventh place.
