It cost Acosta a second place to win the title, seven seconds behind fellow countryman Fermn Aldeguer, but he only won second in a row. Before the close two races in Qatar and Valencia, in which a maximum of 50 points can be obtained, Acosta has a jump of 77 points ahead of the Italian Tony Arbolino, who only closed the elite board today.
At the age of 19, Acosta is a two-time champion, or in his first season in 2021 he triumphed in the Moto3 category. For the fifth year, the great Panlish talent will move to Krlovsko MotoGP.
Twenty-one-year-old Sala gained two championship points after those races, two of which he did not finish and in one he finished outside the elite 50. The only Czech member of the World Cup finished with a gap of half a minute behind Aldeguer, and there are ten in the overall order.
Moto3 race was won by newcomer Collin Veijer and became the first Dutch rider in this category. The Japanese Ajumu Sasaki narrowly missed out on second place by 13 points ahead of leader Jaume Masia from Spain, who only managed to finish today.
MotoGP riders start at 8:00 a.m. SE.
