The Euro Hockey Tour will continue in the same format at least until the end of the 2026/27 season. The Czech, Finnish, Swedish and Swiss hockey federations agreed on this. The game will continue to be played without Russia.
Their representatives sealed Switzerland’s continuation in the EHT during a meeting in Tampere, Finland, where the Karjala Cup is now underway. The contract covers the next three seasons.
“Switzerland has taken its place on the Euro Hockey Tour on and off the rinks and we are more than happy to continue the EHT with Switzerland, Sweden and the Czech Republic,” says Sami Kauhanen, CEO of the Finnish Hockey Association.
The order of tournaments within the representative season will remain the same. Finland will continue to host it in November, the December event will be organized by Switzerland, in February it will be played in Sweden and before the WC in the Czech Republic.
“Only in the 2025/26 Olympic year will the Swedish tournament take place in the spring between the Czech Hockey Games and the World Championship,” informs the press release of the Czech national team’s spokesperson Ondřej Kalát.
