Why to B? Vorlický needs to play. He has been plagued by health problems throughout his career, missing the entire autumn due to a knee injury. He is now completing his recovery and slowly returning to full training. After the weekend, he should be involved in the preparation of head coach David Střihavka’s team.
According to information from Sport.cz, the team should buy him from Atalanta for 250,000 euros (6.2 million crowns). With the abilities of the gifted native of Boskovice, the outlook for the Czech team is promising, he could potentially help to expand the possibilities in the position of offensive central midfielder. But it shouldn’t be in A before the summer. It will depend on form and health.
Vorlický left Zbrojovka Brno for Atalanta’s well-known academy at the age of fifteen and as one of the few, similar to today’s Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski, made it to debut for A in Serie A. For Atalanta last spring he started in three games (against Lecce, AC Milan and Udine), he officially collected twenty-two minutes in them.
“My dream came true. Even considering my story, which is quite specific against others. I’m mainly referring to what I had to go through in recent years due to an injured knee in order to get to those three starts in the Italian league at all,” he said in an interview with fotbal.cz in March.
By then he had two knee surgeries and was out of football for almost three years. After a peek at Serie A, another blow came, the knee got angry again. After a break of more than ten months, he will try to make another comeback. He doesn’t give up. He will want to kick things off in the CFL.
