When Bayern did not go well in the match against Bremen in January, the Bavarian party took it from all sides. Practically no one was spared, it was said that the title would already be won by Leverkusen, that the era under the baton of this club was over after years. A few days have passed since that race and suddenly the situation is different. The home side are not losing much in the lead before the clash with Mönchengladbach.

Specifically, we are talking about a two-point gap after the leader Bayer did hesitate a week ago. And precisely with the opponent, who will now also face the selection of Stern des Südens. And you can be sure that if the home team really doesn’t want to underestimate anyone, it’s the Colts, who have never looked like tame animals against the German giants in the past. On the contrary, Gladbach has always looked like a strong horse that can compete with the noble stallions from Munich.

The two sides have met six times since August 2021, including one in the DFB-Pokal, with Bayern claiming the only victory. It was at the end of the current year in September, and a few months ago the favorite struggled to win anyway. The home fans must have in their vivid memory above all the German Cup match from October 2021. At that time, the team, still led by coach Julian Nagelsmann, suffered a five-goal debacle in Borussia-Park. So far, this result is considered one of the worst for Bayern in the past few years.

Home strategist Thomas Tuchel could not participate in the traditional pre-match press conference. He fell ill during the week, but as confirmed by his representative, sports director Christoph Freund, he should appear on the bench in the match. “This duel is a challenge for us, but our only goal is to win,” he was texting. “We expect the opponent to play similar to last week in Leverkusen. He fought hard for his point there. But we are ready. It will certainly not be an easy match,” supplied.

At the last minute, the Munich team received reinforcements for the offensive. It was apparently not an easy negotiation with Granada regarding the arrival of Bryan Zaragoza, who was originally supposed to move to Germany in the summer. But Kingsley Coman’s injury simply required a quick solution, a replacement needed to be found, so in the end all parties involved agreed that the transfer would take place already in the winter. “Now I mainly want to score my first start here,” the Spaniard was looking forward to his first minutes in the new club. “I want to help this team as much as possible and learn from these fantastic players and coaches.”

Similar to the previous round and in the current one, the guests are placed in the role of outsiders. In any case, the latest result from Leverkusen suggests that when coach Gerardo Seoane’s team has their day, they can torment anyone. “After Bayern have the ball and we win it, we need to go forward quicker and use the spaces better than last time,” outlined the tactical plan of the visiting pilot. “We intend to test our opponent as much as possible and give the best possible performance in all aspects.”

Bayern Munich – probable line-up:
Neuer – Boey, Dier, de Ligt, Davies – Pavlovic – Goretzka, Raphaël Guerreiro – L. Sané, Musiala – Kane

Mönchengladbach – probable line-up:
Nicolas – Scally, Friedrich, Elvedi – Weigl – Honorat, Koné, Reitz, Netz – Pléa – Siebatcheu

Tipsport odds: 1.17 – 8.68 – 15.60
