The Czechs defeated Poland in the seventh match against each other and this time by the highest margin ever. Five points for a hat trick and two assists were contributed by Filip Langer. Matěj Havlas scored a goal and three assists. Goalkeeper Lukáš Bauer, who has played 78 games for the national team, picked up his first clean sheet.

Already in the 7th minute, coach Jaroslav Berky’s men were leading 4:0 and by the end of the second period they had completed the “ten”. In the third part, they added their second hit in the match between Milan Meliš and Filip Zakonov. In the 52nd minute, Langer completed the hat trick. Bauer kept a clean sheet even when Jiří Besta was sent off.
