Looking at the night schedule, for example, the match between Carolina and the NY Rangers or Dallas and Florida was tempting. However, in the end, the most talked about match was from which not so much was expected. Chicago and Anaheim, two outsiders, played a goal game that was not without a drop of drama.

Let us first mention Connor Bedard and his historic feat. After returning to the ice from a jaw injury, the young prodigy is playing with great gusto. He is alive on the ice and scores like few others.

Against Anaheim, it was a goal and four assists. Bedard joined Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Ilya, Dale Hawerchuk and Jack Hamilton as the fifth 18-year-old players in NHL history with a five-point game.

To make matters worse, Nugent-Hopkins and Kovalchuk are the only other 18-year-olds with four assists. Bedard also joined Hawerchuk as the second teenager in NHL history with a combined eight points in two consecutive games.

But the historic evening was somewhat overshadowed by the scrum before the end of the match. It all started behind Petr Mrázek’s goal, where Jared Tinordi and Mason McTavish got into each other.

And even though it was more or less decided at 6-2 for the Blackhawks at the time, with about ten minutes left in the game, the mill was torn apart.

Radko Gudas also joined it. He took Mackenzie Entwistle into a show, caught him by the tie and hit him a few times. Petr Mrázek also tried to step in, calming Gudas down, but really forcefully. There was also minor contact and a verbal altercation.

Since Mrázek was involved, Ducks goaltender John Gibson wanted to do the same. But the referees managed to intervene.

According to the letter of the law, Gibson was sent off for crossing half of the pitch and Lukáš Dostál went into goal.
