McLaren will deploy several technical innovations during the upcoming weekend in Florida. However, according to his boss, the British team does not expect such a fundamental rise as in the case of last year’s big upgrades.

Last year, the British McLaren demonstrated a great increase in performance, which it gradually recorded after deploying technical innovations.

McLaren was more or less able to maintain the form from the second half of last season for the current year, and during the upcoming Miami GP, it will try to accelerate further thanks to the new parts.

However, boss Andrea Stella claims that, although McLaren promises improvement from the news, he does not expect to repeat such a performance shift as was the case, for example, at last year’s Austrian GP.

“This time the upgrades will not be as big as those we implemented last year in Austria or Singapore. Even so, they should bring a decent step forward,” said Stella, quoted by Autosport.

“I can’t say what numbers we’re talking about, because I’d like to keep it a secret. However, our acceleration should be noticeable if everything matches the numbers from the wind tunnel and computer simulations. But you can never be sure,” added the Italian.
