Kladno will see it soon: only partial modifications are needed for the extensively modernized ČEZ stadium to be fully usable again. On Tuesday, the Knights checked off the approval of the building with a positive result.
“It is an important step for us to start the extra league again at home on September 16. However, we are not done yet,” points out club press spokesman Lukáš Jůdl.
Construction work on the Kladno stand took a year and a half. The old winter house has been transformed into a modern-looking sports hall meeting all the requirements of today’s times.
“It’s an important step to start the extra league again at home on September 16.”
The most extensive reconstruction in the history of the club cost approximately 470 million crowns. The winter stadium has already completed a new roof, air conditioning and facade, the A-team cabin, fan shop and main gatehouse have also been modernized.
Completely new premises await the media, the gold VIP zone was completely reconstructed and the former press center was transformed into a bronze VIP zone.
“There will be work in several places at the stadium during September and October, which, however, will not disrupt the functioning of the stadium in terms of the organization of matches and training,” adds Jůdl.
“The stadium will also be working in several places during September and October.”
The work mentioned includes the milling of roads and paving around the winter club, as well as modifications to the club’s administrative facilities, skyboxes and the silver VIP zone.
“The hall is really nice. It can’t even be described. I don’t believe that there is a similar hall in the Czech Republic, there simply isn’t. It is a mix of the old hall with comfort elements for fans. Everyone gets their own way,” club owner Jaromír Jágr said earlier.
