Markkanen presented himself in Prague just a few hours after his move from Cleveland to Utah in the NBA and sent new acquaintances a beautiful greeting card, hit a few free throws and showed his talent. Czech Republic won the first rush, the Croatians were defeated thanks to the great performance of Janis Adetokunbo (27 points, 11 rebounds and six assists) and Tyler Dorsey (27 points, five triples). Defeated in the second half, they rallied for just a few runs, pulling within two points. The main help was recently imported American point guard Jaleen Smith with 23 points and five three-pointers, and forwards Bojan Bogdan with 19 points and Krunoslav Simon with 18 points.
