And now for the winning wave! We finally have something to push ourselves away from, Kyzlinka is pleased with the improvement against Serbia

“In that first match, we let everything fly too much into our heads, on the contrary, the Poles played with absolute ease. With the Serbs, it was also different from us at times, but in the second half, everyone had to see that we played completely differently. We want to present ourselves with that kind of basketball and we have to stick to it,” explained point guard Ondřej Sehnal.

“Albeit another defeat, but with a completely different feeling than the day before. We have to recover from the way we finished the match against Serbia. Finally, the improvement in performance came, there was a lot of energy, the right game things, and I believe that the fans also enjoyed it with us,” said Tomáš Kyzlink, the author of six points.

With his activity, he helped a lot to stir up the national team and he was convinced that the scenery from the auditorium helped the representatives a lot. “The atmosphere was incredible and I believe that we will start making the great spectators happy by riding a winning streak from Monday,” he was already thinking about the next fight with the Dutch.

With a score of 38:60 fifteen minutes before the end, the Czech team didn’t look like it even against Serbia, but they breathed their last to an eleven-point lead by the end of the third period and kept pace with Serbia in the last period, even though the guests returned all the stars of the opponent to the game. “Sometime from the middle of the third quarter, we finally got rid of the crisis of the last three weeks,” explained pivot Martin Peterka.

“Suddenly, the stupid mistakes stopped, we started playing fast, confidently and with a lot of help in defense,” pleased the best Czech scorer, who admitted that, considering the amazing atmosphere, he experienced every moment on the field very strongly.

In addition, Peterka is the only member of the national team who has experience in the O2 arena with national team basketball. In 2013, he played in the World Cup under 19 years. “I did well, but as a team, the championship didn’t go very well at the time. We didn’t start well this year either, but we have Sunday off and then we have to show what we’ve got in three games in four days. If we win them all, progress will be ours,” he said.
