The Israelis were not supported by the young star Deni Avdija, the Washington Wizards player scored only three points in 28 minutes on the field. The best scorer of the losers was Yovel Zoosman with eighteen points, Yam Madar secured 17 points.

In Prague, in group D, the home team will play against the Netherlands on Monday, and the reigning vice-champions from Serbia will play against Finland.

In Group C in Milan, the Croatians won 73:70 over Estonia. Young pivot Karlo Matkovič contributed 17 points as he hit all his shots. Dario Šarič added 15 points and 12 rebounds.

The Estonian team was surprisingly led by experienced scorer Siim-Sander Vene with 18 points (he hit five three-pointers) and basket player Maik-Kalev Kotsar with 17 points.

The remaining matches will be provided by Great Britain – Greece and Ukraine – Italy.
